Our story, and everything you need to know
Oktoberfest began in Munich more than 200 years ago with a royal wedding in 1810. In our tent, blue and white colours, dirndls and lederhosen bring Munich to Stockholm. We opened Stockholm’s first Oktoberfest in 2011 and have grown into Sweden’s biggest celebration.
Long tables fill the tent. We serve 1 litre of Bavarian festival beer brewed especially for Stockholm Oktoberfest. Before long you will be singing along — and perhaps standing on the benches. Our beer is brewed under the German Reinheitsgebot and contains 5.0% alcohol.
Good to know before you come
Your seats
- Reserved seats throughout the event
- Thu/Fri: seats held for 1.5 hours after opening (VIP: 2.5 hours)
- Saturday: seats held until 17:00 (VIP 18:00)
- Beer and food vouchers are handed out on arrival if you purchased them
Cloakroom
- Bags are allowed inside the tent, but all bags are checked at the security checkpoint at the entrance
- An optional cloakroom costs SEK 30 per item
- Please avoid leaving valuables in the cloakroom
Lederhosen & dirndl rental
- Original dirndls and lederhosen available
- Rent them in the souvenir shop
- A refundable deposit applies

Frequently asked questions
Where and when does Stockholm Oktoberfest take place?
The event takes place at Cirkusplatsen on Gärdet on 10–12 September 2026.
Do I need to wear a dirndl or lederhosen?
No. Bavarian clothing adds to the atmosphere but is not required. Original dirndls and lederhosen can be rented in the souvenir shop; a refundable deposit applies.
Can I bring a bag into the tent?
Yes, bags are allowed inside the tent, but all bags are checked at the security checkpoint at the entrance. An optional cloakroom is available for SEK 30 per item. Please avoid leaving valuables in the cloakroom.
Which payment cards are accepted?
All major cards are accepted except American Express.
How long is my reserved seat held?
On Thursday and Friday, regular reserved seats are held for 1.5 hours after opening and VIP seats for 2.5 hours. On Saturday, regular seats are held until 17:00 and VIP seats until 18:00.
Is there an age limit?
Alcohol is only served to guests aged 18 or over. Bring valid physical identification, as it may be requested.
Can I bring my own food, drinks or an animal?
No outside food, drinks or animals are allowed.
